How to submit a DMCA takedown notice

Send a written notice that includes the following elements:

1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (title, URL or description).
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and where it is located on the site (provide URL).
4. Contact information of the complaining party (address, telephone number, email).
5. A statement by the complaining party that they have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice that includes:

• Your contact details (address, phone, email).
• Identification of the removed content and its original location.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
• Your consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or a statement of willingness to accept service).
